Clarence Burke

Clarence Burke has served as pastor of Beacon Light since 2000 and has witnessed spiritual and numerical growth within the church body. He is passionate about reaching the lost for Christ. Dr. Burke received his BA from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, his M.Div. from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and D.Min. from United Theological Seminary . After rewarding careers in corporate communications, information technology, and seminary administration, Dr. Burke has retired to devote more time to ministry. He has a love for ministry and teaching God’s word and also enjoys mentoring seminary students. His hobbies are reading, photography, and enjoying nature. Dr. Burke is married to Syvil and together they are proud parents of Cedric and Mia who are active in ministry at Beacon Light. His favorite scripture is Psalm 119:105
